Euro 2024 is the talk of the town, with goals galore and enthralling games from day one. That is if you discount England who, in typical fashion, have flattered to deceive.
The Three Lions stumbled into the knockout stages with a drab 0-0 draw against Slovenia. That did little to dispel fears about how far England can progress into the tournament.
As for Newcastle United supporters, they caught a first glimpse of Anthony Gordon. Gareth Southgate gave the Toon winger just two minutes plus stoppage time despite pleas from fans for him to start.
