Newcastle United have confirmed a fraction of the revenue received from 2024-25 shirt sales will go towards the club’s foundation.

The Magpies are set to release their kit for the upcoming season this Friday (June 7). Adidas have created the highly-anticipated designs after agreeing a lucrative long-term deal.

Newcastle are set to bank between £30million to £40million from the German retail giants. Adidas held a 15-year association with the Magpies from 1995 to 2010, creating some of the club’s most iconic shirts.

Toon chiefs managed to exit an existing deal with British manufacturer Castore early following complaints regarding quality and customer service. And in an unprecedented move, the Newcastle United Foundation will receive £5 from every sale throughout the summer.

This is following a recommendation from the newly-appointed Fan Advisory Board. The foundation is the club’s charitable arm that provides opportunities and care for some of the most underprivileged in the region.

Newcastle’s home shirt will go on sale for £80, with junior kits at £55 and the “authentic” matchday version £110. Foundation CEO Steve Beharall welcomed the decision to distribute a percentage of the sales to a good cause.

“On behalf of Newcastle United Foundation, I want to thank the club and its Fan Advisory Board for this incredible gesture,” he told the club website. “The Foundation exists to change lives, but we can only achieve that outcome because of independent funding – and that includes the generosity of partners and supporters.

“The money you donate by buying your home shirts from the club directly this summer will have a huge impact on what we do. This contribution will allow us to engage and inspire even more children, young adults, families and older generations to achieve their potential. We pledge to make this funding stretch as far as we can so that we can use the power of football and Newcastle United to change thousands of lives.”
