Enjoy Euro 2024 in a beer garden

England games have been underwhelming so far this tournament, but there have been some incredible games throughout Euro 2024 in Germany so far this summer.

Plenty of pubs and bars across the city are showing every game throughout the championships and some offer outside seating while others such as Ouseburn Garden are fully open to the conditions.

For many football fans it doesn’t get much better than watching a summer tournament in a dedicated beer garden - and the days of three fixtures in one day are soon to end, so enjoy it while you can!

Coast Fest

Over in North Shields, local and up and coming musicians have come together to offer a weekend of live music - and the weather couldn’t be better!

The event runs from Friday to Sunday and tickets remain on sale now.

Heaton Festival

Every two years residents of the Newcastle neighbourhood come together to enjoy the best of what our community has to offer from live music from local acts to special food and drink options.

The event takes place at Heaton Park and opens at 12 noon on Saturday.

Take in the summer vibes in Ouseburn

The area to the east of the city centre is well known as one of the trendiest parts of the city and it really comes alive over warm, sunny weekends.

From large beer gardens at The Tyne Bar, The Grove and The Ship Inn to special summer menus at the Cluny and ice cream at Di Meo’s the area thrives when the sun is out.

The Tyne Bar regularly has live music on Sundays to keep the entertainment going.

Head down the Quayside Market

Each Sunday stalls are set up along the Quayside with all sorts of food, clothing, accessories and plenty more to get stuck into.

There is something for everyone at the market and after a few wet, cold few months you might as well enjoy time out by the river!
