Billy Bolt said: “I’ve been working on the Red Bull Tyne Ride concept for a few years now with Red Bull, and I’m absolutely buzzing to bring this head-to-head race to my hometown this summer. The course is insane, it’s hugely creative in track design, with features inspired by different action sports – it’s really going to challenge the competitors. Usually our races are inaccessible, so to be in the city centre is going to be amazing.”

The Red Bull Tyne Ride will be completely free of charge to watch from Newcastle’s Quayside. The event will begin from midday on Saturday, August 3.
