German Doner Kebab set to open brand new restaurant at the Metrocentre
and live on Freeview channel 276
German Doner Kebab (GDK) has announced that it is set to open a brand new restaurant at the Metrocentre, in Gateshead.
The popular chain has a number of outlets across the North East, with an official opening date yet to be confirmed.

Hide AdGDK Metrocentre will have capacity for 42 people at any one time, with takeaway options of the halal-friendly kebabs also available.

Bosses at the Metrocentre have confirmed that the new restaurant will be located on the ground floor of the Yellow Mall, opposite the recently upsized Primark.

Hide AdAs well as being able to sit inside the restaurant, GDK Metrocentre will offer a takeaway and delivery service via the GDK app, Deliveroo, UberEats and Just East.
Noah Knapton, asset manager at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, has welcomed GDK to the Metrocentre.
He added: “GDK’s new site at Metrocentre continues to demonstrate the pull we have to international operators, delivering choice across a critical mass of global and independent restaurants.
“Sitting alongside the likes of Five Guys, Slim Chickens, and Wingstop, GDK will provide a tried and tested grab-and-go offer, and one that will no doubt hit the right notes for our visitors as we continue to build a solid F&B line-up in Yellow Mall.”
